The Front Spar of the Empennage is “bend” with two 6º angles. I was a bit reluctant bend the aluminum between the vise with a mallet. The inner ribs that connect the front spar with the rear spar are a challenge. Again I interpreted the instructions of Van’s incorrectly and we drilled the inner rib flange holes too early. Yet another point on the lessons page, read the entire chapter before starting with the first bullet of the plans.
Attaching all the other ribs went very well, because these were all pre-drilled in contrast with the inner ribs.
